The flamingo breeding season in the Zwillbrocker Venn is in full swing, with developments progressing rapidly. Just one week after the first egg was spotted, several eggs have already been recorded on the breeding island in the Lachmöwensee. Visitors can currently observe flamingos taking turns on the nest, while others remain nearby. 

At the same time, black-headed gulls are preparing for the hatching of their chicks in the largest northern breeding colony of this species. This makes the Zwillbrocker Venn a unique destination for nature lovers and photographers. A visit during this period is highly recommended.
